Wrap Up

As you moved through this PLM, you learned about adult learning assumptions, principles, and theories. You have also been provided with strategies for implementing some of this theoretical knowledge. Here is a link to a Theories Review Sheet which you can refer to as you compose your responses.

Think back to Shana, Gabriel and Sam, and their perceptions of themselves as part of a learning community. Given what you have learned from this PLM, what adult learning theory, or theories, would you apply to them, as individuals, to help facilitate their success in a learning community? How? What theory, or theories, would you apply to them as a group to facilitate their success as a learning community? How?

You may choose any theory or principle, or a combination of theories and principles. In your Andragogy Hub Journal, describe how you will address each student individually and your approach to them as a group.
